Today I am revisiting Number 9 Fashion’s scoop neck dresses, which was the design that started my love affair with their dresses. I’ll be styling three prints, three ways: the Great Waves, Turquoise Cherry Blossoms, and the White with Cranes.

This dress features a scoop neckline, capped sleeves and a fitted bodice that flares out to a full skirt. I’ve noticed they have have less stretch than other designs so be sure to get the right size. I’m a size 12 and got my usual Large which fits great. The fabric is a light cotton blend that is perfect for summer, and the bodice lining is silky and soft. The skirt is also a lot longer than other Number 9 Fashion designs so if you’re taller or prefer a longer skirt length this dress would be perfect for you.

First is the Great Waves print, the first dress I bought from Number 9 Fashion. I styled this for a more formal party. I really love this print, it’s a beautiful rendering of the famous artwork by the same name. I get compliments on this dress every time I wear it. It’s also the perfect print to pair with my many nautical themed brooches. I styled this with white and blue accessories but I think it would also look great with tan or red accessories to lean into the nautical feel.

Second is the White with Cranes print. I adore this print and think it will be a new favourite of mine. There are so many rich colours in the print including mustard, dark green, and burgundy. I styled this with black accessories for work but I think it’d also look good with tan or grey accessories or accessories in any of the other colours in the print.

Last is the Turquoise Cherry Blossoms print. This print features beautiful pink and white cherry blossoms with subtle gold detailing on the branches. I styled it for a casual summer’s day out with tan accessories and a matching Erstwilder cherry blossom brooch. I think it’d also look great with pink or white accessories.

All of these dresses are now available on Number 9 Fashion’s website. Let me know in the comments which look is your favourite!
